Crew Leader

Take the lead on moving jobs while helping your crew work safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Mover Specialist
Starting Pay: $17.00–$19.00/hour
Help customers move their belongings safely and efficiently while delivering the dependable service E&J is known for.

The position involves loading, unloading, carrying furniture and boxes, protecting customers' belongings, using moving equipment, and assisting the crew throughout each job.

What does a typical day look like?
Moving isn't always a traditional 9-to-5 job.
​
Our crews typically begin between 7:00–8:00 AM and finish around 4:00–5:00 PM.
​
Actual finishing times vary depending on the day's moving jobs. Some jobs may require longer shifts, and employees should be prepared for schedules that occasionally extend beyond eight hours.
​
Saturday availability is expected. Sundays may be available as optional work.

What we're looking for
Moving experience is welcome, but previous experience is not required. We're willing to work with people who have the right attitude and are ready to learn.

For positions that require driving, applicants must also have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements
Moving is physically demanding work. Applicants should understand the requirements before applying.
Stamina
Moving jobs may involve 8–12 hours of physical activity, including prolonged walking, standing, lifting, loading, and unloading.
Stairs & Ramps
Team members must be comfortable navigating stairs, truck ramps, and other surfaces while safely handling furniture, boxes, and equipment.
Movement & Mobility
The work frequently requires bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in tight spaces.
Balance & Core Stability
Good balance and body control are important when handling bulky or irregularly shaped items.
Manual Dexterity
Team members regularly use their hands to grip and maneuver furniture, wrap and protect items, operate hand tools, and safely use equipment such as two-wheel and four-wheel dollies, moving straps, ratchet straps, and pallet jacks.

Screening & Driver Requirements
Because our crews work in customers' homes and businesses and may operate company vehicles, applicable candidates may be required to complete pre-employment screening.
Background Screening
Employment may be contingent upon completion of a background check. Results should be reviewed individually and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Driver MVR
Applicants being considered for driving responsibilities may be required to provide authorization for a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
